Ken Kitson
Ken Kitson is best known for playing the policeman in the BBC’s long running series Last of The Summer Wine. Ken trained at the East 15 Acting School and his credits include: Danger UXB; All Creatures Great and Small; Ripping Yarns; Mapp and Lucia; A Month in The Country; The Cops; Wuthering Heights; Brassed Off; Shipman and Shameless.
Ken is currently raising money for his film project Fistful of Dreams:
“The Full Monty, Brassed Off and Little Voice have shown just how commercially successful these lower budget films can be. My goal would be that ‘Fistful of Dreams’ would be one of the first totally British films to be financed in this country, possibly since the Ealing studio era. My own dream is to see ‘Fistful of Dreams’ go into production and that it will be a hit that Yorkshire can genuinely be proud of.”
The film, set in Yorkshire, tells the story of Will Case, an unemployed Bradford divorcee disillusioned with society who decides to start living by the romanticised code of the West; dressing as a cowboy and taking part in quick draw competitions. George Baker will star as Will’s father and Brian Bennett is writing the soundtrack. Fistful of Dreams will be directed by Tim Dowd (Emmerdale, Heartbeat).
